What's going on, it's Jonathan.

Before you ask AI to build an app, answer one question:

Whose recurring problem are you trying to solve?

Get specific. A freelance designer collecting client feedback is a clearer starting point than an app for every business owner.

Now find someone who actually does that job and ask these five questions.

1. When did this last happen?

Ask them to walk through a recent example. You want the actual steps, including the awkward ones.

2. How do you handle it today?

A spreadsheet? Email threads? Copying notes between tools? Look at the current workaround before suggesting a replacement.

3. What gets in the way?

Find the part that causes confusion, repeated work, or missed information. Let them describe it in their own words.

4. How often does it happen?

A problem that shows up every project deserves a different conversation from something that happened once.

5. What would make a replacement worth trying?

Ask what it would need to do, what they would hesitate about, and whether they would test a rough version.

Write down the answers before opening your builder.

Then finish this sentence: This tool helps [specific person] complete [specific task] with [clear improvement].

If that sentence is still vague, keep talking to people.

MakerAI includes AI-assisted market validation and step-by-step Lovable build prompts. Use that analysis to develop your idea, then check the assumptions with potential users. An AI score doesn't establish that someone will buy.

Your next move: one conversation, one recurring problem, one clear sentence.

Let's build. 🦁
